Astronaut of Salamanca

This little guy has caused quite a stir with people claiming it is proof that our ancestors either had the ability to explore space or someone else came from space to visit us.

Built between 1513 and 1733, the Gothic cathedral underwent restoration work in 1992. It is during the restoration that the astronaut was added as a signature by the stonemasons. And yes, the arm was repaired in more recent years.
