The London Hammer is impressive on face value alone.
The metal of the hammerhead has been said to consist of 96.6% iron, 2.6% chlorine, and 0.74% sulfur. The hammerhead has not rusted since its discovery in the mid-1930s it is claimed.
How can a modern hammer be stuck in 400 million year old rock? Minerals in solution can harden around an object dropped in a crack or simply left on the ground of the source rock. So in this case the 400 million year old rock “dissolved” around the hammer and hardened again, as is the case with the Coso Spark Plug?
The wooden handle of the 1900’s hammer looks petrified, and bits probably did turn into coal, which would add to the date of the hammer. Coal takes about 300 million years to form, but there are young earth creationist scientists that believe coal can be produced in much shorter time periods, like days or hours.
The hammer is on display at the Creation Evidence Museum. Availing the hammer for testing with new technologies is more of a problem than the existence of it.
Again the truth is hidden by an agenda.
